This six-part series is definitely entertaining and enjoyable. Except for a few occasions such as a farewell party for seniors and college elections, there is nothing new to offer. The episodes are slightly longer this time around than their predecessors, which were tightly edited for a 30-minute runtime. There is also an additional episode, but it adds nothing to the drama. Many well-known comedians have made appearances as the show's narrator. The late Raju Srivastav, in particular, entertains viewers with his final performance as a tea vendor outside the college.
Despite the fact that the story (written by Harish Peddinti, Suprith Kundar, and Talha Siddiqui) has become somewhat cliched, the characters draw you in with their fantastic performances. Nikhil Vijay is hilarious as Jhantoo, and you'll enjoy watching him use cunning tactics to stay alive and maintain his position of importance in the hostel. Both, Utsav Sarkar as Dopa and TVF’s OG Ahsaas Channa as Akanksha are sweet and likeable characters. However, their love story will undoubtedly make you question their choices. Shubham Gaur as Rupesh Bhati aka Jaat is funny, and his studious 2.0 version is even more insane. Even if Chirag Bansal may annoy you occasionally, you will still like him. His act as detective Byomkesh Bakshy (in the second episode) to find the chor in the hostel is particularly funny. Ayushi Gupta's character, Nabomita, is still trying to fit in and looking for a friend who cares for her in the same way that Ankit does for Akanksha.
All said, Hostel Daze season 3 will make you laugh at intervals and comes across a good escape from the sombre dramas currently streaming across various platforms. So, if you've seen the previous seasons and are looking for a good laugh, watch it.
